Is that ESP?

My last blog post was about how our lives were about to change, but when posting the entry I had no clue how eminent that change would be. However, there must be something to this whole "mother's intuition" notion, as that night (April 7th), I felt I had to get that last entry posted before I went to bed.

That possible "last dinner" at Bottom's Up with Matt, was in fact our last dinner just the 2 of us. At 3:45 the next morning I awoke to a sensation of liquid in the bed and I knew I wasn't just peeing myself. Game On! Time to get to the hospital!

Let's just leave it at labor is no fun, we can leave out the gory details, but the end result is worth every agonizing moment. And thank you Dr. Hirata and nurse Liz for making one of the hardest things I've ever done, such a wonderful memory.

Arriving just over 2 weeks early, at a mere 5 lbs. 8 oz., Henry joined our little family on April 8th at 3:59PM. We spent 2 amazing days, just the 3 of us, in the hospital getting to know the new man in our life. Now, over 2 months later (and 3 pounds heavier), we cannot remember what life was like before we saw this smile!
